In early March Madness betting action on the national championship game between Connecticut and Kentucky at Bovada the Wildcats were favored by 2.5 points over the Huskies, as two of college basketball's last three champions hook up to decide this year's title at Arlington's AT&T Stadium.
The matchup sets a new tournament record for lowest combined seeding in a championship game, but UConn just won the national title three years ago and Kentucky won it two seasons ago.

Bigger isn’t always better than smaller, but higher is almost always better than lower when it comes to betting on the Final Four and that trend continued in 2013.
In 14 games since 2005 (excluding games where both teams had the same seed), the higher-ranked teams are 13-1 SU. At the betting window they were almost as dominant, riding a 11-2-1 ATS mark in that NCAA Tournament odds action.
