Kentucky Dominating Top Opponents

Kentucky has won and covered in each of their past six outings, all of which came against team’s with winning records. The Wildcats have been blowing these teams away as well with an average scoring margin of +16.3 points during their current winning streak. UK will look to continue their path to Houston when they take on the Indiana Hoosiers Saturday.

Kentucky decimated Stony Brook in the first round of the NCAA Tournament as the Wildcats held their opponents to just 26.3 percent from the field while shooting over 50 percent themselves. Each of the five Wildcats starters tallied double-digit points, paced by freshman Jamal Murray’s 19. That was just the second time in the past 14 games that Murray failed to hit the 20 point plateau.

Indiana steamrolled their way into the second round by easily topping the Chattanooga 99-74. Senior point guard Yogi Ferrell paced the team with 20 points, the 20th time he has hit double-digits points in the Hoosiers' past 21 games. Indiana's defense started the game against the Mocs shaky, but steadied themselves as the game went on.

Indiana has historically faltered against Kentucky, as the Hoosiers are just 1-4 SU and ATS in the past five meetings between the two teams. Kentucky and Indiana have last met in 2012, when the WIldcats knocked the Hoosiers out of the NCAA Turnament.

March Madness Ultimate Props Page

It's not called March Madness because everything happens the way it's supposed to, but sometimes history can be the best indicator of what to expect when the tournament tips off. Let's get serious though, lots of brackets will get busted within the first day or two, and that's where props come in. Prop bets can keep you in the mix throughout the Final Four as opposed to the first hours of the tournament after that #12 seed you had a hunch about gets blown out.

4 Reasons Why They Can Win: Virginia

Virginia Cavaliers NCAA

I know what you’re thinking. You see the Virginia Cavaliers as a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament and you’re thinking, “Oh here we go again. Another early-round exit for an overrated team.”

While Virginia has been a very good program the past three years, the Cavaliers have severely underachieved during the NCAA Tournament. The Cavaliers won the ACC Tournament in 2014, were given a No. 1 seed in the East Region and promptly lost to Tom Izzo and the Michigan State Spartans in the Sweet 16.

4 Reasons Why They Can Win: Kansas

Kansas March Madness

The Kansas Jayhawks enter the NCAA March Madness Tournament as +650 favorites, and with good reason. The Jayhawks capped off a strong 30-4 SU season with a Big 12 title, and as the top seed in the South region, they’ll look to carry that momentum towards winning the fourth NCAA Championship in the school’s history.

Here’s four reasons why they can win this year’s NCAA Tournament:

FGCU in Tough to Recapture 2013 Magic

Florida Gulf Coast Eagles NCAA March Madness

The Florida Gulf Coast Eagles crushed Fairleigh Dickinson by a score of 96-65 as 5.5-point favorites in their First Four matchup Tuesday night. Things will get exponentially more difficult in their Round of 64 meeting with the No. 1-seeded North Carolina Tar Heels Thursday.

  • North Carolina is 3-0 SU and ATS in its last three games with four days off in between games.
  • FGCU is 3-1 SU in its last four games versus teams with winning records.
  • The total has gone UNDER in 12 of UNC’s last 15 games versus teams with winning records.

Many will remember FGCU from its incredible run to the Sweet 16 back in 2013. That year, the Eagles knocked off #2 Georgetown and #7 San Diego State before losing to the third-seed Florida Gators in the Sweet Sixteen.

The Eagles have not had many lined games this season, but have been a hot wager at the betting window of late going 3-1 ATS (4-0 SU) in their last four games, including Tuesday’s win.

The Tar Heels have been heating up at the right time, however, and will an extremely tough Round of 64 matchup if the Eagles want to recapture that magic of 2013. They have gone 7-1 SU in their last eight games (6-2 SU) and have covered the number in their previous four games including a clean sweep at the betting window as they went 3-0 to win the ACC Tournament.

The Heels have been a bit cold ATS in recent tournament games. They have gone 1-5 ATS in their last six following a 78-71 win as 5-point favorites over Villanova back in 2013.

Butler Has Great Bounce-Back Ability

The Butler Bulldogs start their NCAA Tournament with a date against the Texas Tech Red Raiders Thursday. Butler enters that affair coming off a loss in the Big East tournament, a spot they have relished, as the team is 16-2 SU in their past 18 games coming off a defeat.

Don’t get Butler confused with their previous, defensive-minded self; this team is all about offense. Butler has been near unstoppable when their shots are falling, especially when Kellen Dunham is on his game from beyond the arc. However, the team tends to falter when their shot isn’t there, which was evident in their loss to Providence when they scored just 60 points and shot 36.2 percent from the field.

Texas Tech has been a roller coaster ride this season after looking outgunned to begin their Big 12 schedule; they surged to a winning streak that saw them top Iowa State, Baylor and Oklahoma consecutively. Shutting down the Raiders is easier said than done, as four different players has averaged double-digit points this season.
