WAC Tournament Final Preview

March Madness Mid Major Matchups

The finals of the Mountain West and Mid American Conference tournament finals boast four 20-win teams, but since they are Mid Majors, the losers will probably not get an invite to the Big Dance.

MAC Conference Final Odds

Ohio Bobcats (20-14 7-9 MAC) vs. Akron Zips (24-9 12-4 MAC)

At time of writing Bovada does not have a line for this game, but check back soon, as they always have the earliest lines posted.

Conference USA Tournament Final

The odds are stacked against Houston in the Conference USA finals, as UTEP won the regular season title and has won 16 straight, but their last loss was to Houston and the Cougars are in must win situation to get to the Big Dance.

Big 10 Wisconsin Favored vs Illinois

One of the teams not-so-firmly on the NCAA Tournament bubble, Illinois needs a deep run in this week’s Big Ten Tournament at Conseco Fieldhouse to convince the committee it’s worthy of a bid to the Big Dance.

Easier said than done for the Fighting Illini (18-13 SU, 12-18 ATS), who take on No. 13 Wisconsin (23-7 SU, 17-11 ATS) in the Big Ten Tournament quarterfinals in Indianapolis on Friday afternoon.

Atlantic 10 Tournament

As the No. 17 ranked team in the nation, the Temple Owls are expected to roll through the Atlantic 10 Tournament. Their shot begins on Friday in the tourney quarterfinals against St. Bonaventure.

Pac-10 Tournament

The California Golden Bears breezed through their Pac-10 tournament opener on Thursday. They’ll try to keep that momentum going today when they collide with UCLA in the semifinals.

The No. 1 seeded Golden Bears had no trouble dispatching Oregon on Thursday. They smoked the Beavers 90-74 as an 11-point favorite at Bovada. Jerome Randle led Cal with 24 points and Patrick Christopher added 21 points in the rout.

Kansas Favored In Big 12 Final

Big East Tournament

After a wild Thursday that saw three of the Top 4 seeds go down the Big East Tournament semifinals tip off today with No. 3 West Virginia the highest seed left standing.

The Mountaineers just barely survived on Thursday after edging Cincinnati 54-51 as a 9-point favorite at Bovada. Da’Sean Butler saved West Virginia from a possible early exit by hitting a game-winning three-pointer at the buzzer. That win earned the Mountaineers a date with Notre Dame in today’s semis.

SEC Marquee Games

No. 2 Kentucky is all but assured one of the top seeds in the Big Dance, but it would still like to win the SEC title for good measure.

The Wildcats (29-2 SU, 16-13 ATS) begin their quest for the conference crown when they tip off with Alabama (17-14 SU, 13-13-2 ATS) in the SEC Tournament quarterfinals at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on Friday afternoon.
