WNBA Weekend Betting Primer

The WNBA often goes overlooked by bettors and books alike. Astute bettors are able to find plenty of soft lines and can pad their bank accounts by paying just the slightest bit of attention to the WNBA.

With that in mind, we will collect the best betting stats and trends heading into the busy weekends of the WNBA season to hopefully find you easy angles to build that bankroll.

WNBA Futures: Lynx Looking Like Class Of The League

Stop me if you’ve heard this one before, but the Minnesota Lynx appear to be the best team in the WNBA. The Lynx have opened the season 3-0 and have the very early favorite to win the MVP in Sylvia Fowles. How anyone is going to stop Fowles down low befuddles me, as the 31-year-old is averaging 21.7 points and 10.0 rebounds while shooting 57.5 percent from the floor so far this season.

A temporada regular

Entre 13 de maio e 03 de setembro, teremos a fase de classificação, ou temporada regular, onde as doze agremiações são divididas em conferências geográficas (leste e oeste). Após 34 partidas, os oito melhores participantes avançarão aos playoffs.

Sky A Red-Hot OVER Play As Season Ends

The Chicago Sky enter the final weekend of the WNBA season with one of the longest total streaks in the WNBA this year. The OVER has hit in each of the Sky’s past nine games and 10 of their past 11.

Chicago has averaged 90.3 points per game while allowing 89.4 points in their past 11 outings. That’s an average of 179.7 combined points in the Sky’s past 11 compared with an average closing total of 167.7.

Books have still yet to really adjust as well as only two of those 11 outings had a closing total of 172 or higher.

Hapless Sun Squad Has Been A Great ATS Play

The Connecticut Sun have not been very good, as they sit dead last in the WNBA’s Eastern Conference with a terrible 8-16 record. However, the Sun have quietly become one of the most consistent bets in all of sports right now.

Connecticut has covered the spread in nine of their past 10 games – which includes going a perfect 5-0 ATS in their past five. One of the biggest reasons for this is the overinflated lines that the Sun are playing with, as they have been spotted an average of 9.1 points per game in their past 10.

The WNBA Bet You Should Be Making

This time of year can be dominated with thoughts of the NBA and NHL Finals, but bettors looking for some legit value should be focusing on the much-maligned WNBA. For every joke and jab the WNBA has to endure, bettors find themselves twice as much value that most will never see.

Though we are still early in the WNBA season, there still remains a perfect bet after nine games. The Washington Mystics have gone OVER in each and every game this season. In fact – dating back to last season – the Mystics have gone OVER in 15 consecutive games.
