Tide face Dogs in SEC battle
#8 Alabama Crimson Tide (4-0) at #3 Georgia Bulldogs (4-0)
Line: Georgia -7 O/U 45
This game is a huge SEC betting matchup, as first place in the division is at stake. The winner has the upper hand in the race for a BCS Bowl bid.
Last week the Crimson Tide crushed Arkansas 49-14, while the Bulldogs beat Arizona State 27-10. The Bulldogs showed how good their D really is last week, as ASU has a dynamic offense.
Not only do the Tide have to worry about the D of the Bulldogs, but their offense as well with QB Matthew Stafford (919 yds 5 TD) and Heisman candidate RB Knowshon Moreno (455 yds 9 TD). The Crimson Tide have the 14th ranked rushing offense led by RB’s Glen Coffee (404 yds 2 TD) and Mark Ingram (263 yds 4 TD).
However, they have no real passing game to speak of and the Bulldogs will stack the front line to stop the run.
The opening line of Georgia -7.5 has moved very little to 7, so there is almost even money on the game. This season the Crimson Tide are 3-1 ATS, while the Bulldogs are 2-0-1 ATS. In terms of O/U games the Tide are 2/2 this year and the Bulldogs are 1/2. In the last 6 games on the road the Tide are 2-4 in their last 6 games on the road. Also in 5 of the last 7 games on the road the Tide’s games have gone Under.
The Tide showed how they can score in their last win against Arkansas, tagging the Razorbacks for 49 points. However, they have not played a D like the Bulldogs have. It will tough for the Crimson Tide’s D to contain a Georgia offense that ranks 19th in total yards.

We see the Bulldogs dominating the game on D and covering the -7 spread. Also the Crimson Tide defense has looked impressive as well so we also see the Under bet as a good call.
