Tiger leads 2009 Masters odds

The Masters starts tomorrow and Tiger is THE golfer to beat, but there are many others that have a legit shot at the prestigious Green Jacket.

A few weeks ago, Tiger had the best Masters future odds at all sportsbooks, but since he won the Arnold Palmer Invitational with a birdie on the last hole a couple weeks back, he is now the big-time favorite at Augusta.

In looking at the golf odds at SportsBetting.ag , Woods is at 11/5 followed by Geoff Ogilvy (8/1), Phil Mickelson (8/1), Padraig Harrington (15/1), the Field (20/1), and five other golfers at 25/1 including Sergio Garcia and Retief Goosen. To check out the entire futures list go to SportsBetting.ag.

It is not hard to see why Geoff Ogilvy and Phil Mickelson are right behind Tiger, as they are the only two-time winners so far this season.

Want a couple of dark horses? OK, OK how about the 2007 Masters champion Zach Johnson, who has Masters odds of 35/1. Johnson has already won at Augusta and he won earlier this season at the Sony Open in Hawaii.

Last year’s Masters winner Trevor Immelman is at 100/1 to repeat.

Besides odds on who will win the Masters, there are also many head to head match ups at Sportsbetting.com.

There are tons of head-to-head match up wagering possibilities, but a few of the more interesting are Tiger Woods (-250) vs. Phil Mickelson (+200), Padraig Harrington (-105) vs. Geoff Ogilvy (-125), Ernie Else (-110) vs. Retief Goosen (-120), Tiger Woods (-300) vs. Geoff Ogilvy (+240), and Tiger Woods (-300) vs. Padraig Harrington (+240).

Sportsbetting.com really has Masters odds covered, betting wise, as besides futures and head-to-head match ups there are also many Masters prop bets.

Just a few of the prop bets are Tiger Woods (+220) vs. The Field (-280), Will there be a playoff? Yes (+250) No (-330), and Will there be a Hole-in-One? Yes (+140) No (-180). Many of the prop bets are individual golfer bets, such as certain players to make the cut and certain players and their first round scores.

If you get your bet in on time before 1 PM ET today, you can also make a future wager on the Masters Par 3 Tournament.
