West Region odds

No. 5 Purdue Boilermakers (26-9) vs. No. 4 Washington Huskies -1 (26-8) O/U 139.5 5:40 PM ET

Online sportsbook Bovada has the Huskies as 1-point favorites in this game with a total of 139.5.

The Huskies come into the second round of the Big Dance after beating Mississippi State 71-58 while the Boilermakers had a tougher time getting by Northern Iowa 61-56 in the first round.

The Huskies are a solid all around team with guards Isaiah Thomas (15.2 ppg) and Justin Dentmon (14.7 ppg) and forwards Jon Brockman (14.7 ppg 11.3 rpg) and Quincy Pondexter (11.8 ppg).

Purdue also has a good inside-outside game with guard E'Twaun Moore (14 ppg) and forwards JaJuan Johnson (13.2 ppg) and Robbie Hummel (12.5 ppg). The Boilermakers are a good defensive team that does not score a lot of points.

For the Boilermakers to win this game they will have to keep Brockman off the boards. This will have to be a team effort, as the leading rebounder for Purdue only averages 7 rpg.

The Huskies' guards have to shoot the ball well in order to open up the lane for Brockman and Pondexter.

Look for this to be a close game, but for the Huskies to move into the Sweet 16 and cover the spread, as their rebounding and inside play will be the key factor.

South Region odds

No. 12 Western Kentucky Hilltoppers (25-8) vs. No. 4 Gonzaga Bulldogs -10.5 (27-5) O/U 143.5 8:10 PM ET

Sportsbook.ag has the Bulldogs as 10.5-point favorites in this game with a total of 143.5. They also have a great bonus in the form of a March rebate on losses.

The Hilltoppers come into the second round after upsetting Illinois in the first round 76-72, while the Bulldogs had an easier time beating Akron 77-64 in the first round.

This is a match up of the new Big Dance Cinderella in the Hilltoppers against the Bulldogs, who were, a few years back, the Cinderella team. The Hilltoppers reached the Sweet 16 last year and can do so again with another upset tonight.

Both teams are on a major winning streak, as WKU has won seven in a row and the Bulldogs have won nine in a row. For the Hilltoppers to pull off the upset tonight they will have to contain 6'11" F Josh Heytvelt (15.1 ppg 6.8 rpg).

The Hilltoppers have a better backcourt, but do not have the best inside game. Guards A.J. Slaughter (15.8 ppg) and Orlando Mendez-Valdez (13.9 ppg) have to shoot well from the outside tonight.

The key to this game will be the inside play of the Bulldogs, as even though they will dominate the paint and move into the Sweet 16 the Hilltoppers will be scrappy and cover the spread making this a close game.

East Region game odds

No. 7 Texas Longhorns (23-11) vs. No. 2 Duke Blue Devils -7.5 (29-6) O/U 139 8:10 PM ET

Online sportsbook Bovada has the Blue Devils as 7.5 favorites in this game with a total of 139. If you are looking to take our advice and bet the underdog Longhorns, bodog is known for having the best college basketball underdog odds in the business.

The Longhorns come into this second round game after laying a beat down on Minnesota 76-62 in the first round while the Blue Devils crushed Birmingham 86-62 in the opening round.

[custom:bodog]

This game features two stellar backcourts, as the Blue Devils has G/F Gerald Henderson (16.5 ppg) and G Jon Scheyer (15 ppg) and the Longhorns have G A.J. Abrams (16.6 ppg) and G/F Damion James (15.4 ppg).

Even with the stacked backcourts the key to this game will be which team can score inside and crash the glass. James is a G/F, but is averaging just over nine boards per game.

The inside players that have to play well for each team is Texas C Dexter Pittman (10.2 ppg 5.4 rpg) and Duke's F Kyle Singler (16.5 ppg 7.7 ppg). Pittman will have to play good D in order for the Longhorns to pull off the upset.

Look for the Blue Devils to play a good inside-out game, as their inside play will be the reason that they will move into the Sweet 16. However, the Longhorns are a tough team and they will cover the spread. Remember that before Duke's cover Thursday against Binghamton, they were 1-8 ATS in their past 9 tournament games.
