UFC 109 odds - Couture vs Coleman

The UFC returns to the octagon this weekend for UFC 109: Relentless on Saturday night in Las Vegas.

Headlining the UFC 109 fight card is a bout between two MMA veterans, Randy Couture and Mark Coleman. Couture, the former UFC Light Heavyweight champion is 46 years old, but that’s only a year older than the 45-year-old Coleman.

This will be Couture’s first bout since he faced Brandon Vera at UFC 105 in November. Couture won that fight by unanimous decision and now sports a lifetime MMA record of 17-10 with seven wins by knockout.

Coleman hasn’t fought since UFC 100 in July. He faced Stephan Bonner and also won by unanimous decision to push his record up to 16-9. Over at Bovada , Couture is heavily favored in the fight at -500, while Coleman is a +325 underdog. You can get Couture, whom many feels will control the fight with his 'dirty boxing' style, at -400 over at Bovada.

UFC 109 odds – Quick Swick vs Paulo Thiago

Couture isn’t the only recognizable name on the UFC 109 fight card. Middleweight Nate Marquardt is slated to face Chael Sonnen and in a Welterweight bout former champion Matt Serra will face Frank Trigg.

Marquardt is a huge favorite in his fight, coming in at -525. He has won his last three fights and last stepped into the octagon at UFC 102 versus Demian Maia. He easily beat Maia with a quick KO in the opening round. Marquardt is 29-8-2 lifetime, with seven wins by KO and 15 by submission.

Sonnen, who is a +325 underdog at Bodog last fought at UFC 104 in October. He won that bout by unanimous decision over Yushin Okami. His MMA record now stands at 24-10-1 with seven wins by KO.

Serra returns to the octagon on Saturday night for the first time since facing Matt Hughes at UFC 98 in May. He lost that bout by unanimous decision, which was his second-straight defeat. That dropped his record to 9-6, but he’s still a -155 favorite this weekend at Bovada.

Serra’s opponent, Trigg, last fought at UFC 103 in September. He lost to Josh Koscheck after getting TKOed in the opening round. He is a lifetime 19-7 with eight wins by KO and he’s a +125 underdog versus Serra.
