UFC 95 Odds and Cotto fight odds

By: admin

What it lacks in big-name appeal, UFC 95 makes up for in solid quality – and in great MMA odds at some online sportsbooks here at OddsShark.com. Here is the list of UFC 95 fight odds, as well as details of the big welterweight boxing match Saturday.

Diego Sanchez -350 (19-2) vs. Joe Stevenson +250 (29-9)

In this lightweight fight Stevenson is coming off a couple of bad losses, which why he is the underdog. Sanchez is an elite fighter, but this will be his first lightweight bout. If Stevenson can get past the first round or two he may pull off the upset, but Sanchez is a more powerful fighter.

Demian Maia -300 (9-0) vs. Chael Sonnen +220 (29-9-1)

Sonnen is the underdog, but he is underrated and has won 7 of his last 8 fights. Maia has yet to be beat and he is a submission artist, who is a former jiu-jitsu world champion.

Rory Markham -110 (16-4) vs. Dan Hardy -120 (20-6)

Hardy is a hard hitter and Markham has worked lately on his wrestling moves. Hardy is still better on the ground and if these fighters are off their feet Hardy has the advantage and is a better mixed martial artist.

Wilson Gouveia +220 (12-5) vs. Nate Marquardt -300 (27-8-2)

This could be the best fight of UFC 95 between two big middleweights. Gouveia has good size and he can fight both on the mat and on his feet. Marquardt has looked great since he lost at UFC 73.

Paulo Thiago +350 (10-0) vs. Josh Koscheck -500 (12-3)

Koscheck is a much better athlete and he should not have a problem against Thiago, who is a submission specialist.

Junior Dos Santos -350 (7-1) vs. Stefan Struve (16-2) +250

Struve is a solid kick-boxer, but 12 of his 16 wins have come via submission. Santos is legit, but young and even though he is heavily favored this may be a close fight.

Terry Etim -260 (11-2) vs. Brian Cobb +200 (15-4)

This is a classic match up between a striker (Etim) and a wrestler (Cobb). If the fight goes to the ground Cobb will pull off the upset.

Mike Ciesnolevicz -120 (16-3) vs. Neil Grove -110 (7-1)

Grove does not have much of a ground game and Ciesnolevicz is a well-rounded fighter. Grove is much bigger and if he can land one solid punch the fight will be over. The longer the fight goes the better it is for Ciesnolevicz.

Paul Kelly -350 (7-1) vs. Troy Mandaloniz +250 (3-1)

Mandaloniz is a hard hitter but is not a well-rounded fighter. Kelly is solid and if he stays away from the big punch he should win this bout.

Per Eklund -170 (14-3-1) vs. Evan Dunham +140 (7-0)

Dunham is a wrestler, but Eklund also has a solid on the ground game so each fighter will look to expose the other weakness. Eklund is a more seasoned fighter, but Dunham is an up and comer with an exciting UFC future.

Cotto vs. Jennings fight odds

Miguel Angel Cotto -1300 vs. Michael Jennings +

Sportsbook.com has Cotto as the big favorite in this fight at -1300 and Jennings as the big underdog at +700

Jennings has warned former WBA welterweight champion Miguel Angel Cotto not underestimate him.

Jennings has great hand speed and has punching power, but the British champion will have to have a stellar bout in order to beat Cotto, who is coming off two impressive wins over Shane Mosley and Carlos Quintana, but did lose his last fight to Antonio Margarito.

Cotto does not back down and keeps applying pressure and he should easily win this fight, as he has fought against much better opponents.
