Bellator 32 Odds: Grove vs Konrad
With only three live events remaining in Season 3 of the Bellator Fighting Championships, the promotion will crown two new champions this Thursday night in Kansas City.
The main event for the Heavyweight title will feature Neil “Goliath” Grove (9-2-1) taking on two-time NCAA Division I Heavyweight Wrestling champion Cole "The Polar Bear" Konrad (6-0). The Bellator 32 odds list have Konrad as a heavy favorite.
Konrad has been able to out-wrestle everyone he’s faced so far in his career, and the experts expect that trend to continue Thursday night. He will be a heavy -365 favorite against Grove, who will pay +285 as the underdog.

Konrad scored decision wins over Damian Grabowski and Rogent Lloret to earn his birth in the Heavyweight tournament finals, while Grove KOed Eddie Sanchez in 1:32 of the first round and Alexey Oleinik in only 0:45 seconds to earn his spot.
The other title that will be up for grabs will be a Bantamweight matchup between Ed "Wild" West (15-4) and Zach "Fun Size" Makovsky (11-3). Makovsky has compiled five straight victories and has decision wins over Bryan Goldsby and Nick Mamalis in the Bantamweight tournament to earn his shot at the Bantamweight title.
West has an even bigger undefeated streak on the line, winning his last nine fights since July of ’07. He also has a decision win over Bryan Goldsby and another against Jose Vega to get to the Bantamweight tournament finals. West will need to take Makovsky to the ground and work his submission skills for the victory.
Another interesting fight on the Bellator 32 fight card will see English striker Jim Wallhead (19-5) matched up in his Bellator debut against jiu-jitsu fighter Ryan Thomas (11-5). Wallhead has looked impressive in his last seven fights, winning all seven and going undefeated since April of 2008.
Look for Wallhead to go for the KO in this fight, which essentially looks like a “welcome to the promotion” ritual with Thomas as the sacrificial lamb.
Thomas started out at 9-1 in his MMA career but has not been impressive over his last seven fights. Over that span he’s gone 2-5, including two losses to Ben Askren since joining the Bellator Fighting Championships. Thomas will have his hands full trying to get Wallhead to the mat and will likely be in for a painful couple of rounds.
As usual, the Bellator Fighting Championships will feature local fighters on the undercard. Fighting in Bellator 32 will be;
Ryan Roberts (13-8-0) vs Eric Marriott (18-5-0)
Demi Deeds (15-8-0) vs Rudy Bears (11-6-0)
Jared Downing (3-0-0) vs Danny Tims (9-3-1)
Shane Hutchison (4-6-0) vs Brian Davidson (5-3-0)
Nick Spohn (2-0-0) vs Owen Evinger (5-0-0)
