Bellator 62 betting odds report
As the UFC fight card drought continues, MMA bettors have another exciting week of Bellator Fighting Championship tournament action to wager on this weekend.
Bellator 62 odds focus on four Lightweight tournament battles as the event cruises into Laredo, Texas.
The card also features a heavyweight tilt between Eric Prindle and Thiago Santos.
Lloyd Woodard will be in tough as the 5Dimes +260 underdog against Season 4 Bellator Lightweight tournament finalist Patricky Freire. Freire brings lethal striking as the -350 favorite at 5Dimes, and should have an easy time providing a highlight reel KO on Friday night.
Ricardo Tirloni will look to keep his 11-fight win streak alive with an upset win over former Welterweight tournament finalist Rick Hawn. Hawn is currently the -195 favorite at 5Dimes and that price is climbing from the initial -170.
The Tirloni upset is currently worth +160.
Brent Weedman will need to get things back on track at the Bellator Lightweight tournament following two straight losses. He’s currently a -275 favorite over J.J. Ambrose who makes his Bellator Fighting Championships debut as a +215 underdog.
Rene Nazare is currently a -185 favorite over Thiago Michel in the other Lightweight tournament fight. Michel makes his Bellator debut as the +155 underdog while Nazare is currently a -185 favorite.
Action thus far on Michel has dropped the Nazare price down from -205.
MMA betting fans will also get to finally watch the Heavyweight tournament final fight between Eric Pringle and Thiago Santos that was left over from last season’s action. The fight was supposed to go down last week but an illness delayed it another week.
Prindle is still a +360 underdog, that payout has dropped slightly from the +400 line initially posted. The Santos price has moved slightly from -550 to the current 5Dimes -495 line.
Barring a lucky shot from Prindle, Santos should be able to use his submission skills for a victory and a shot at the Heavyweight title.
