Bellator 78: Good vs. Tsarev Odds
Moneyline action is already available on this weekend’s Bellator 78 fight card, and we’ve already seen lots of movement on the prices for three of the four main card fights.
Bellator Welterweight Tournament semifinals will headline a Bellator 78 fight card that will feature two tournament fights as well as a Middleweight and Featherweight matchup. The main event is handicapped as a one-sided matchup with former Welterweight champion Lyman Good facing Russian Michail Tsarev.
Despite a record of 24-2 Tsarev is handicapped as an MMA odds +335 underdog at 5Dimes. That line opened at +350 and continues to drop as the weekend nears. Good opened at -530 but now costs -505 at 5Dimes. Bettors have been opting for the Tsarev upset, and based on the generous payday we have to agree that there’s lots of value on the Russian.
Undefeated Andrey Koreshkov is currently a -210 MMA odds favorite to beat power-striker Marius Zaromskis. Considered one of the top Welterweight prospects in the world, Koreshkov is coming at a bargain at that price. Despite the movement from the initial -260 option, we like Koreshkov via KO in this one. The Zaromskis upset will currently pay +160 at 5Dimes and should be worth more.
Brian Rogers should have an easy day at the office when he steps into the cage against 5Dimes +215 underdog Dominique Steele. Rogers will rule any stand-up portion and should be able to get the win as long as he can stay off his back. As a -295 favorite at 5Dimes Rogers is coming a little pricey considering his disadvantage if the fight goes to the ground.
Daniel Straus is 16-1 in his last 17 fights and is currently handicapped as a -530 favorite over Alvin Robinson. Even at +350 the Robinson upset payout isn’t very tempting as it’s very likely that Straus finds a way to KO him in the early going.
