MMA Odds: UFC 138 Betting Preview
MMA betting fans get two straight weeks of free fights starting this Saturday when UFC 138 goes down in Birmingham, England.
MMA fans can expect fireworks this Saturday night when Mark Munoz looks to take another step up the Middleweight contender ladder with a win over tough-as-nails Chris Leben.
UFC 138 will also debut two fighters new to the UFC, and in typical fashion they’ve both been given a big test their first time in the Octagon.

Despite Leben’s recent success going 4-1 in his last five fights oddsmakers at Bovada have “The Crippler” as a UFC odds +200 underdog against Munoz. The payout on Leben has steadily risen since betting opened as more action has gone Munoz’s way.
Leben will have a puncher’s chance to get the upset if he can find the chin of Mark Munoz at some point in their five-round fight. Matt Hamill showed us that Munoz can be KOed, and if Leben lands a big uppercut at the right time he could pay out underdog cash.
Munoz is an NCAA champion wrestler with heavy hands. It’s unlikely that he will take his chances against Leben in a standup fight and he will surely be looking to get the fight to the ground as soon as possible. Munoz should control the fight in the early going and eventually wear down Leben for a late-round finish.
Oddsmakers at Bovada have Munoz as the -260 UFC favorite, which is a fair price against a dangerous opponent like Leben.
Fight fans will also get to see Renan Barao welcome newcomer Brad Pickett to the UFC in the co-main event of UFC 138. Local U.K. fighter Pickett will be in front of a friendly crowd and will hope to put his ground skills to use against Barao. UFC 138 will also display the undefeated Swedish fighter Papy Abed; he gets his first Octagon test against the lethal striking of Thiago Alves in a Welterweight match.
