MMA Odds: UFC on Fox 2

Odds for the upcoming UFC on Fox 2 fight card are up and, as expected, Rashad Evans is favored to win in the main event and earn a crack at Jon Jones' light heavyweight belt.

MMA betting fans will also have a chance to bet on a heavily-favored Chael Sonnen, who will step into the Octagon against the solid kickboxing skills of Michael Bisping.

Evans has been close to a shot at the UFC Light Heavyweight title for well over a year now, but one mishap after another has kept it from happening. Now Evans must prove himself worthy one more time against one of the best young fighters in the division in  Davis.

Despite Davis’ undefeated record, oddsmakers still think Evans will come out on top this Saturday night.

UFC on Fox 2 Odds courtesy of 5Dimes (good for a 50% freeplay bonus this weekend):

Chris Camozzi    -185
Dustin Jacoby    +155

Joey Beltran    -215
Lavar Johnson    +170

Shane Roller    -225
Michael Johnson    +175

Charles Oliveira-490
Eric Wisely    +355

George Roop    +115
Cub Swanson    -145

Johnny Bedford    -205
Mitch Gagnon    +165

Mike Russow    -170
Jon Olav Einemo    +140

Evan Dunham    -325
Nik Lentz    +250

Michael Bisping    +380
Chael Sonnen    -475

Rashad Evans    -185
Phil Davis    +160

Evans is a slight favorite at 5Dimes at -170, while a Davis upset is currently worth +150. Davis will be looking to use his wrestling skills to control Evans on the ground, but that might prove difficult considering the wrestling pedigree of Evans.

In the stand-up battle the edge would have to go to Evans based on speed and experience.

Bisping will get the chance of a lifetime as he steps in for an injured Mark Munoz in a Middleweight contender match against current No. 2 Sonnen. A win would vault Bisping into the top three of the division and he could end up with a title shot this summer.

Oddsmakers at 5Dimes have Bisping as a huge +355 underdog, while the price on Sonnen currently sits at -445 at 5Dimes.

Sonnen is expected to close the distance and to use his Greco-Roman wrestling to control Bisping and then ground-and-pound him long enough to earn a submission victory. Bisping’s only chance to win will be to land a strike that has enough impact on Sonnen to change the direction of the fight in his favor.
