MMA bettors will be looking for a payout this weekend when Strikeforce returns to television with Strikeforce Challengers: Fodor vs. Terry in Kent, Washington.
The headliner on the main event card on Friday night is a Lightweight bout between Caros Fodor and James Terry. Both fighters enter the bout having won their last three fights. Fodor is 10-3 with eight wins by submission in his MMA career; he last fought at a Strikeforce event in April where he defeated David Douglas by TKO.
Terry is 10-2 with four wins by KO in his MMA career. Terry fought at the same Strikeforce event in April and made short work of Josh Thornburg with a KO in the first round.
In one of the other bouts on the main card on Friday night MMA fans will recognize a familiar name when Ryan Couture takes on Matt Ricehouse in a Lightweight clash.
Couture is the son of MMA legend Randy Couture. Friday's bout will be Couture's third professional fight after he went 2-0 in his first two career MMA fights with both wins by submission. He last fought at a Strikeforce event in February where he defeated Lee Higgins by submission with a rear-naked choke in the third round.
Couture's opponent, Ricehouse, is also a new face in the pro MMA ranks. He's also undefeated so far with a 4-0 record with two wins by KO. He last fought at a Strikeforce event in December when he defeated Tom Aaron by unanimous decision.
Another undefeated fighter is on the main card at Strikeforce Challengers: Fodor vs. Terry in the Light Heavyweight bout between Lorenz Larkin and Gian Villante.
Larkin is 10-0 in his MMA career and he's been a bruiser with eight wins by KO. He won his last seven fights by KO, including his last bout at the April Strikeforce event where he took down Scott Lighty by TKO in the second round.
Trying to ruin Larkin's perfect record is Villante. That could be difficult as Villante, a lifetime 7-2, has lost two of his last three fights. He last fought at a Strikeforce event in February and lost to Chad Griggs by TKO in the first round.
