UFC 110 - Nogueira vs. Velasquez Matchup in Australia
The UFC heads down under for their first event in Australia this weekend, as UFC 110: Nogueira vs. Velasquez goes Saturday night in Sydney. The main event at UFC 110 is a Heavyweight bout between Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira versus Cain Velasquez to determine the No. 1 contender for the UFC Heavyweight championship. At Bovada, Velasquez is a slight favorite at -130, while Nogueira is the underdog at Even money. Velasquez enters the bout with an undefeated MMA record of 7-0 with six wins by knockout. His last fight was at UFC 104 in October where he stopped Ben Rothwell with a TKO in the second round.

Nogueira last stepped into the octagon at UFC 102 in August. He faced Randy Couture in a battle of MMA veterans and won by unanimous decision. That win improved his lifetime MMA record to 32-5-1 and one no contest with 20 wins by submission. Also in the Heavyweight division this weekend, Mirko Filipovic takes on Ben Rothwell. Filipovic, who is better known as Mirko Cro Cop, last fought at UFC 103 in September. He faced Junior dos Santos and lost by TKO in the third round. After that defeat Filipovic is a lifetime 16-7 with 11 wins by knockout. Rothwell faced Velasquez at UFC 104 in October and lost by TKO in the second round. He’s a lifetime 30-7 with 17 wins by KO and is this weekend’s bout against Filipovic he’s a +130 underdog at Bovada. Filipovic comes in as a -160 favorite.

The lone Middleweight bout on the main fight card this weekend pits MMA veteran Wanderlai Silva against Michael Bisping. Silva is one of the most experienced fighters on this weekend’s card with a lifetime record of 32-10-1 and one no contest with 22 wins by KO. He’s had a bad run lately with two straight losses and only one win over his last six fights. He last fought at UFC 99 in June where he lost to Rich Franklin by unanimous decision. Bisping last stepped into the octagon at UFC 105 in November. He took care of Dennis Kang with a TKO in the second round. He’s a lifetime 18-2 with 12 wins by KO. Bisping is a +125 underdog at Bodog, while Silva is a -155 favorite.
