Lyoto Machida and Mauricio Rua headline UFC 113 on Saturday, May 8th from Montreal. The bout is a rematch of a five round battle in UFC 104 that went to Machida by the closest of margins. Many people believe that Rua won that bout. "I think it was a controversial fight. Some people thought I won the fight and some people thought I lost.” Rua said, “The proof that it was controversial is that rematch was set up immediately."
The UFC 113 odds at SBG Global have Machida as a -200 favorite. Machida believes that he won the first fight. "After analyzing the fight and thinking about the fight, I still feel the judges made the right choice," said Machida. The judges scored that fight 48-47 in favor of Machida. In his MMA career, Machida remains unbeaten at 16-0. He has the second longest winning streak in UFC history behind Anderson Silva. The only fight that was really a struggle was the bout against Rua. "Both for myself and for Shogun, being in there with each other for 25 minutes, I'm sure he noticed some things about me and I noticed some things about him. I think that makes it so much greater for the rematch this time around," said Machida. In his eight fights in the UFC betting , Machida has never been knocked down.
There are four other bouts on the main part of the UFC 113 card. It will be Josh Koscheck vs. Paul Daley, Sam Stout vs. Jeremy Stephens, Matt Mitrione vs. Kimbo Slice and Patrick Cote vs. Alan Belcher. Koscheck is a -265 favorite against Daley. That bout should be exciting for as long as it lasts. The last four bouts for Daley have averaged two minutes, 14 seconds. Sam Stout is a 2-1 favorite in his fight against Jeremy Stephens. Kimbo Slice is a very slight -125 favorite against Matt Mitrione while the fight between Cote and Belcher is a pick in UFC odds.
