UFC 126 Betting Results
All those MMA bettors that thought Anderson Silva’s best days were beyond him got a reality check on Saturday night when “The Spider” flicked out one of his long legs and left Vitor Belfort laying unconscious on the Octagon floor.
Silva looked like he was throwing a regular Muay Thai shin kick to Belfort’s leg but switched the direction of the strike up to Belfort’s chin. It landed perfectly and dropped the challenger enough for Silva to finish the fight with a couple of head shots. As he always is, Silva was easy Bovada money at -240.
The big news to come out of the UFC 126 fight card was that Jon “Bones” Jones will get the next UFC Light Heavyweight title shot. Joe Rogan announced the news in the Octagon after Jones easily submitted Ryan Bader in the second round of their fight.

Jones controlled Bader on the ground until he locked in an inverted guillotine choke. He continues to be safe money and was easily worth the -325 price at Bovada.
The upset bets that paid off on the UFC 126 fight card were on Forest Griffin and Demetrious Johnson. Griffin was a Bet365 +145 underdog but was able to control the smaller Rich Franklin and earn a unanimous decision win. Griffin combined good striking with timely takedowns to win two rounds and get the nod from the judges.
K1 star Norifumi Yamamoto was favored against Demetrious Johnson but got out-worked in every round and lost his UFC debut. Johnson put Yamamoto on his back numerous times in every round and controlled where the fight was fought.
Yamamoto had little to offer and even got rocked in the third round, solidifying the win for Johnson. Johnson paid a slim underdog line of +115 at Bovada.
