Jon “Bones” Jones will be a heavy favorite to defend his UFC Light Heavyweight title against former champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson at UFC 135 this Saturday night, but according to Jackson MMA oddsmakers have it all wrong.
As a 5Dimes favorite the price on Jones currently sits at -550. That price has steadily risen from the original line of -340. Most MMA bettors at 5Dimes seem to think Jones will dominate Jackson and have pushed the upset payout on Rampage up from +280 to the current +425 line.
The co-main event on the UFC 135 fight card will feature former Welterweight champ Matt Hughes in his last fight on his current UFC contract. He will be facing the former No. 1 contender Josh Koscheck and is handicapped as a 5Dimes +400 underdog.
Koscheck will be returning to the Octagon for the first time since breaking his orbital bone against Georges St-Pierre last December. Oddsmakers at 5Dimes have offered a price as small as -320 on Koscheck but the action has driven it up to the current -500.
In a Heavyweight battle undefeated Travis Browne looks to climb the contender ladder with a win over former Cage Rage Heavyweight champion Rob Broughton. 5Dimes currently has Browne as a heavy -360 favorite, but the graph on that line has been a roller coaster ride between -565 and -215 over the last couple of weeks of action. The Broughton upset at 5Dimes currently pays +300.
The other Heavyweight fight has Ben Rothwell as a 5Dimes -275 favorite over hard-hitting Mark Hunt. Driven down from +300, current upset action on Hunt sits at +195.
MMA odds are also available at 5Dimes on Nate Diaz and Takanori Gomi in a Lightweight matchup. Diaz is coming off two losses in which he was dominated and has gone 3-5 in his last eight fights. Despite that record he’s still a -250 favorite against Gomi, who will pay +210 for the upset.
