Welterweight action will dominate the upcoming UFC 158 fight card with not only a championship battle between Nick Diaz and Georges St-Pierre, but also two contender fights that include some of the top-ranked fighters in the division.
UFC 158 action is already available on three of the main card fights including six prop options on the main event. MMA odds on the UFC Welterweight champion retaining his title are currently -500 at , rising from the initial offering of -450. [ See UFC 158 prop odds article here ]
The Diaz upset is worth +400 at 5Dimes (and climbing as of mid-week), and barring the former Strikeforce champion landing a perfect power shot to the chin of the champion, the underdog pick makes little sense in this fight.

Prop options at 5Dimes like “St-Pierre wins by decision” at -250 and “fight goes to decision” at -280 not only offer a better price as single bets but also combine nicely in a parlay for better value with the St-Pierre win option.
The Hendricks vs. Condit matchup offers a much closer handicap with the former interim champ Condit currently listed as the UFC odds +115 underdog. His kickboxing skills could easily be enough to wear down his opponent for either a KO or a one-sided decision win.

Hendricks has a rare combination of power punching and elite wrestling making him dangerous regardless of where the fight is fought. UFC 158 action on Hendricks is coming as cheap as -130 at , but he’ll have to chase down an opponent who will be sticking and moving constantly in a three-round fight.
So far the most tempting MMA odds upset option is in the Ellenberger vs. Marquardt matchup. Action on Marquardt is currently +145 while Ellenberger comes with a -165 price at 5Dimes.
Nate the Great has far better striking technique and he has the ability to put his opponent up against the cage and work the questionable Ellenberger cardio for what could easily be a dominant win.
