UFC 168 Odds: Weidman vs. Silva

Former pound-for-pound No. 1 in the world Anderson Silva will be looking to win his UFC Middleweight title back from newly-crowned Chris Weidman on December 28, and according to the betting odds for UFC 168 the experts think it could go either way.

Silva is currently a -150 favorite on the UFC 168 odds to regain his title, but that line has jumped all over the place since its initial offering. Action on Silva has been as expensive as -180 or as cheap as +100 over the last week as bettors try to decide where the value might be in this rematch. Weidman is currently a +135 MMA odds underdog at Sportsbook and has been handicapped as high as -120.

Better value may be found in the 29 prop bet options currently available at Sportsbook. The two most likely parlay scenarios would include fight doesn’t go the distance at -250 with Weidman wins via submission at +414 and Weidman inside the distance at +165.

The co-main event of the UFC 168 fight card will be another rematch for another UFC title. Ronda Rousey will meet Miesha Tate, and this time it’s for the UFC Women’s Bantamweight title. In their first meeting Rousey did as she always does and beat Tate via armbar in the first round. For that reason she’s a heavy -1000 favorite on the UFC 168 odds at Sportsbook.

There’s little reason to believe that Tate has somehow developed a way to stop Rousey from sinking the armbar, making the +650 underdog option on her a poor value bet despite the potential payday. Tate will likely tap early and collect her paycheck for showing up. Some better value may be available in the Sportsbook prop options that include a -380 price on Rousey winning via submission.
