UFC Fight Night: Jedrzejczyk vs Penne

UFC betting action returns this weekend with a full card for UFC Fight Night 69. Headlining the event will be a UFC Strawweight title fight between new champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Ultimate Fighter alum Jessica Penne. Also on the card will be a relevant Bantamweight fight between Dennis Siver and Tatsuya Kawajiri plus a full lineup of up-and-comers.

Jedrzejczyk will look to defend her UFC Strawweight title for the first time and oddsmakers at Bovada have her handicapped as the -700 favorite. Action on the Penne upset will currently pay +450. Despite the big payday, action on the upset is not recommended in this situation.

Expect Jedrzejczyk to be worth the MMA odds risk in this fight. Her elite striking looks to be years beyond any other girl in the division, and until someone comes along who can handle her fast hands she should continue to pay out as the UFC odds favorite.

The co-main event features Dennis Siver against Tatsuya Kawajiri. Siver will be in front of hometown fans and should be worth the -185 risk currently being offered on him at Bovada. The +150 payday on Kawajiri should be worth a little more, especially if Siver is able to close the distance in the stand-up battle.

UFC Fight Night 69 odds on the Peter Sobotta vs. Steven Kennedy fight currently have Sobotta handicapped as the -275 favorite. Despite his current six-fight win streak, Sobotta will be in the Octagon against a seasoned veteran in Kennedy and he may not be ready for the jump in competition. We like a little of the +215 upset action on Kennedy in this one.
