UFC Fight Night: McGregor vs. Brandao

The sportsbooks have their UFC Fight Night odds posted for this weekend's event in Dublin, and headlining the card from Ireland will be rising Irish Featherweight star Conor McGregor as he battles The Ultimate Fighter 14 Sportsbook Diego Brandao.

Oddsmakers at Sportsbook currently have McGregor handicapped as the heavy -450 favorite while a Brandao upset will pay +330 on the UFC Fight Night odds. The difference in this fight will be speed, and it’s McGregor that has enough to spare in this matchup. We like the McGregor KO victory in front of hometown fans in this one.

Sportsbook is offering an Over/Under option on the fight which is set at 1.5 rounds. Despite the fact that we think McGregor will win via KO, we expect that to happen in the second half of the fight (Over -155) as he is usually a slow starter who likes to find his range and wait for an opportunity to land the big shot.

In the co-main event Gunnar Nelson will look to keep his undefeated record intact with a win over Zak Cummings. Like McGregor, Nelson is a heavy -470 favorite on the UFC betting lines while the Cummings upset will pay +345. Nelson is a world-class jiu-jitsu fighter and unfortunately for Cummings his specialty is also ground fighting, giving Nelson a sacrificial lamb type edge in this fight.

If you find that the UFC odds on Nelson are a little pricey, the Over 1.5 rounds option is currently coming at a -170 price on the betting lines. We’re keeping our eyes on the Sportsbook props as the week continues for the Gunnar wins by submission line.

As the Sportsbook -175 favorite Ian McCall will get a big test from Brad Pickett at UFC Fight Night 46. Pickett couldn’t hang with the elite of the Bantamweight division but he has looked impressive as a Flyweight. McCall could run into an opponent that’s stronger and far more experienced, giving value to the +145 upset option on Pickett on the UFC betting lines.
