UFC Fight Night: Te Huna vs. Marquardt
The UFC will head to Auckland, New Zealand for UFC Fight Night 43 on June 28, and early UFC Fight Night betting action is already available on four main-card fights. Headlining the card will be local Middleweight Jame Te Huna taking on UFC veteran Nate Marquardt, while the co-main event features local Heavyweight prospect Soa Palelei against Jared Rosholt.
Both Nate Marquardt and James Te Huna are coming off two straight first-round knockout losses and will need a victory if they want to remain fighting in the Octagon. Oddsmakers at 5Dimes currently have Te Huna handicapped as the UFC odds -220 favorite while Marquardt currently comes with a +180 5Dimes payday.
The Over/Under on the main event is set at 1.5 rounds with the Under currently coming with a +135 payday. With two fighters trying to hold on to their jobs the -165 option on the Over looks like it has tons of value as a tentative fight has a good chance of occurring.
The co-main event of UFC Fight Night 43 is a highly anticipated Heavyweight matchup between local prospect Soa Palelei and Jared Rosholt. Both fighters have strung together long win streaks and will be looking to step into the upper rankings of the division.
Rosholt holds an edge in the MMA odds as the 5Dimes -150 favorite mainly because he holds a big edge if the fight goes to the ground. Palelei has knocked out the last eleven opponents he’s faced, and if he can keep the fight standing he will most likely do the same to Rosholt and pay out on the +130 UFC Fight Night odds underdog option.
Charles Oliveira looks to be coming at an MMA odds bargain at UFC Fight Night 43 against Hatsu Hioki. Current UFC odds at 5Dimes are offering a -190 price on Oliveira to win, while the Hatsu Hioki upset only pays +165.
