Another stacked UFC fight card will be free on the Fox network on December 8 as Benson Henderson puts his UFC Lightweight title on the line against the boxing and grappling skills of Nate Diaz.
In the co-main event former UFC Light Heavyweight champion Mauricio Rua will get another big test from rising star Alexander Gustafsson, and action is also available on an interesting welterweight fight between MMA legend B.J. Penn and top contender Rory MacDonald.
UFC odds are closely handicapped in the main event with the champion Henderson currently sitting as the slight -150 favorite. His high pace and all-around fight game are expected to find a way to get the best of his opponent, but action thus far has driven the price down from its initial -210 offering.
Diaz will bring some of the best boxing skills in MMA as well as high-level jiu-jitsu. He can win the fight standing or on the ground but will likely have to chase down the champion in order to do that. The upset option at currently sits at +130 and looks like the best underdog pick on the main card.
In the co-main event Rua continues to fight the best Light Heavyweights in the world as he steps into the Octagon against Gustafsson. As the +180 underdog at 5DIMES Rua will need to find a way to close the distance to be effective, and Gustafsson has already been shown how to beat Rua by Jon Jones.
He has the reach to keep his opponent at bay and is coming at a great price at at -205.
MacDonald is a big favorite to send Penn back into retirement as the 5Dimes -290 favorite. He should be too strong for the past-his-prime Penn to contend with and will likely end things in a dominant fashion. The Penn upset option is worth +245 but is not recommended.
