Upset potential huge in NFL opening Week 17 odds
The odds are posted, the teams know who is in and who is out and who must win. It’s a great week for NFL bettors to beat the odds and cap their season with some great betting value, if you know which opening odds can be beaten.
Why else would the hot Colts be a home dog to Tennessee in a nothing game for each team?
Knowing when to bet during the week is almost as important as knowing which team to bet on. Why? Because lines move and you might be better odds on Tuesday than you will get on Saturday night.
Week 17 odds - New England -6.5 at Buffalo
The Patriots have won three games in a row and in their last two games they scored a total of 96 points. Buffalo’s defense is only ranked 20th in the league and they are completely out of the playoff picture.
It looks as if the Patriots have found their offensive groove and they may tag the Bills for a lot of points. This is a must win game for the Patriots and the Bills can just play spoiler. The Bills have lost seven of their last nine games including four at home.
We expect the odds to go higher in this game, perhaps pushing to -7.5 or higher, so if you want to bet on the Patriots take the line now at Bovada
Week 17 odds - Seattle at Arizona -6
Seattle’s season has been a nightmare and they will be playing for pride when they travel to the desert to play the Arizona Cardinals. The Seahawks rank dead-last in defending the pass, which is not good considering the Cardinals rank second in passing yards per game.
The Cardinals are still looking to host a playoff game, so they will play their starters. Not that it mattered Sunday in Foxboro. Seahawks QB Seneca Wallace has had a couple of good games in a row, both wins, but the Seahawks do not have the firepower if this game becomes a shootout.
If you want to bet on the Cardinals take line now, as it may go up. Week 17 NFL odds posted early at [custom:betonline-link]
Week 17 odds - Tennessee -3 at Indianapolis
The Titans have won the AFC South, but there is no hotter team in the league than the Indianapolis Colts, who have won eight games in a row. The Colts have only lost two games all season at home and that was in the first three games.
The Titans are flying high with the best record in the NFL, but they have dropped two of their last five games. Also, they have home field advantage wrapped up, so they may rest some of their starters.
Peyton Manning has been on fire as of late and looks like he is in MVP form. If you want to bet on the Colts you may want to take the line now, as it may go down.
