Weekend NBA lines and picks

NBA point spreads haven't been posted for all weekend games, but it shapes up as a great few days of basketball wagering.

Miami Heat (10-8) at L.A. Lakers (14-3)

At time of writing the line is not out for this game, but check Bovada, as they will have early odds posted.

This season the Lakers are 11-2 at home and 8-9 ATS and the Heat are 4-3 on the road and are also 8-9 ATS.

Tonight in La La Land the Lakers host the struggling Miami Heat. The Heat are coming off a 114-96 loss to the Denver Nuggets and they are only 4-6 in their last 10 games. The Lakers are on fire recently, as they have won seven in a row and are 8-2 in their last 10 games.

Dwyane Wade is averaging 26.7 ppg, but he is shooting a career low 42.7% from the field. He will have to have a big game for the Heat to win tonight.

The Heat do not have a lot of size in the lineup and they will have to deal with a couple of 7-footers tonight in C Andrew Bynum (18.5 ppg 10.2 rpg) and PF Pau Gasol (17.7 ppg 10.3 rpg). The Heat have to hit the boards as a team in this game, as if the Lakers dominate the glass they will dominate the game.

Jermaine O'Neal (14.5 ppg 8.2 rpg) has to play solid on both ends of the court, as the only real legit big man the Heat have.

Kobe (28.8 ppg) will get his points tonight, but the solid Heat defense, which ranks eighth in points allowed (95.4 ppg), has to keep Bynum, Gasol, or Ron Artest from having big scoring games.

If the Lakers can keep the slashers of Wade and Michael Beasley (15.3 ppg) from getting to the hoop easily and force them to make jump shots they will be in good shape.
