Auburn makes short work of Mississippi State

Brandon Cox was 21-for-31 for 269 yards and two touchdowns as the No.4 Auburn Tigers mauled the Mississippi State Bulldogs 34-0 at Scott Field on Saturday.

The Tigers did enough to cover the 22-point spread on the road, but the 34 points scored was just UNDER the posted total of 38.

Kenny Irons had 73 rushing yards on 21 carries, and Courtney Taylor caught nine passes for 103 yards to lead the Tigers.

Tray Rutland went 12-for-25 for 95 yards and one pick, and Anthony Dixon managed 67 yards on 14 carries to pace the feeble Bulldogs.
