UTEP rallies to top Tulsa

The UTEP Miners were down by seven in the fourth quarter, but they came back Saturday night to beat the Tulsa Golden Hurricane 41-38.

The Miners couldn't beat the 8-point spread, but their rally helped the final score get OVER the total of 54.

Place-kicker Reagan Schneider capped off the evening by connecting from 23 yards out with just two seconds remaining. Schneider was 2-for-2 on field goals and hit all five of his PAT attempts.

UTEP quarterback Jordan Palmer threw two interceptions, but was otherwise stellar, going 25-for-34 for 341 yards and a pair of TD strikes to Chris Francies.

Jarod Tracy was 23-for-40 for Tulsa, but his one INT was returned for a touchdown by Josh Ferguson.
