Boston College fight off pesky Central Michigan

Boston College got their season off to a winning start by holding off the feisty Chippawas of Central Michigan by a score of 31-24 at Kelly/Shorts Stadium on Thursday.

Boston College did not cover the 11.5-point spread, but the two teams managed to combine to go OVER the posted total of 42.0.

Matt Ryan threw for three touchdowns and 320 yards on 32-for-48 passing. Kevin Challenger caught six balls for 64 yards and one toucdown.

Dan LeFevour went 21-for-36 for 225 yards, throwing one touchdown and one interception in a losing cause for Central Michigan. LeFevour also added 72 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.
