Mercury force Game 5

The Phoenix Mercury came-from-behind to defeat the Detroit Shock 77-76 Thursday in Game 4, and forced a deciding Game 5 in the WNBA Finals.

Phoenix failed to cover the 8.5-point spread, while the 153 points fell UNDER the posted total of 180.5.

Cappie Pondexter tossed in a game-high 26 points and shot 9-for-17 from the field for the Mercury. Diana Taurasi chipped in with 20 points in the win.

Plenette Pierson led the way for the Shock, scoring 23 points from a solid 9-for-10 shooting from the field.
