Washington State scores late to defeat Washington

The Washington State Cougars scored a touchdown with less than two minutes remaining to avoid losing to crosstown rival Washington Huskies 26-22 Saturday on home turf.

The Cougars made good on covering the small 2-point spread coming into today’s game. The game's combined score of 48 points was well UNDER the posted total (55.5).

Washington State QB Alex Brink went 21-of-35 for 283 yards in the win. Brink was sacked four times however. Isahiah Stanback went 12-for-26 for 162 yards in the loss.

The Cougars move to 4-7, while the Huskies move to 2-9 on the year.
