Golden Gophers outlast RedHawks

Amir Pinnix scored on a two-yard run in double-overtime in Week 2, sparking the Minnesota Golden Gophers to a 41-35 win over the Miami (OH) RedHawks at the Metrodome.

The Golden Gophers could not cover the 8-point home spread, and the 76 points scored were OVER the posted total of 49.

Adam Weber was 26-for-40 for 271 yards, four touchdowns and a pick, while Pinnix ran for 126 yards and a major on 28 carries for the Golden Gophers.

Daniel Raudabaugh went 13-for-24 for 222 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. Chris Givens caught five passes for 112 yards and a score for the RedHawks.
