Nittany Lions manage to outrun Bulls

It was much closer than expected Saturday, but the Penn State Nittany Lions picked up a couple of touchdowns on the ground to get past the South Florida Bulls by a 23-13 score.

The Lions had been favored by 21.5 points in this contest, and couldn’t cover that spread. The combined score made UNDER bettors happy, as it fell below the posted total (42).

Lions QB Michael Robinson went 9-for-15 for 92 yards in the win, and was intercepted once. Robinson and Tony Hunt each ran for Penn State scores on the day.

For the Bulls, Pat Julmiste completed 21-of-36 pass attempts for 201 yards. Julmiste tossed two TD strikes to Johnny Peyton, and was also intercepted once.
