Wildcats Down Samford 34-3 - Match Report

Raymond Sanders tore up the turf for 123 rushing yards on Saturday to lead the Wildcats to a 34-3 win over the Bulldogs at Commonwealth Stadium.

Jalen Whitlow completed 10 of 13 pass attempts for 66 yards for the Wildcats in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.

Fabian Truss rushed for 37 yards for Samford, while D'Morrise Bledsoe added 12 yards. Andy Summerlin threw for 104 yards for the Bulldogs, while receivers Riley Hawkins and Kelsey Pope had 26 and 22 yards respectively.

Samford lost the offensive yardage battle to Kentucky 455-102 yards in Saturday's game. Kentucky had more first downs as that total ended up 22-9.

Kentucky led the time of possession tally, as the game finished as a 34:46/25:14 split in that important category.
