Trojans grind out tough win

John David Booty threw for 245 yards and a score as the No.3 USC Trojans beat a feisty Washington Huskies team 26-20 at the Coliseum on Saturday.

The Trojans could not cover the 19-point spread at home, and the 46 points scored was just UNDER the posted total of 48.

Booty had a 23-for-39 day with one interception, and Patrick Turner caught 12 passes for 117 yards and a score for USC.

Isaiah Stanbeck was 17-for-40 for 213 yards and two touchdowns, while Sonny Shackleford had nine receptions for 126 yards for the Huskies.
