Tigers squeak out victory against Bulldogs

#15 Auburn narrowly got past #9 Georgia 31-30 on Saturday night.

Georgia was favored at home but couldn’t cover the spread in the contest at -3. The total points were OVER the posted total of 41.

Bulldogs QB D.J. Shockley was up to the task again Saturday going 20-for-36 for 303 yards and two touchdowns in the win. TE Leonard Pope was the No. 1 receiver with eight catches for 100 yards.

Auburn QB Brandon Cox went 16-for-28 passing for 281 yards and an interception. RB Kenny Irons had a huge night from the backfield with 37 touches for 178 yards and two touchdowns in the loss.

The Tigers' record improves to 8-2, while Georgia’s falls to 7-2.
