UCLA turns it up to beat San Diego State

The UCLA Bruins took a while to get going, but eventually rolled to a 33-14 victory over the San Diego State Aztecs at the Rose Bowl in Week 1.

UCLA covered as a 18-point favorite while the final score played over the 46.5-point total.

The Bruins were led by quarterback Kevin Prince, who passed for 176 yards, one touchdown and two picks. Safety Rahim Moore had three interceptions for UCLA, taking those back for 25 yards.

Aztecs quarterback Ryan Lindley had the three turnovers while passing for 238 yards and two touchdowns.
