Jayhawks thump Cornhuskers

Jason Swanson passed for 226 yards and threw two touchdowns to lead the Kansas Jayhawks to a 40-15 win over the Nebraska Cornhuskers on Saturday.

Jon Cornish rushed for 109 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries for Kansas, and Mark Simmons made six catches for 111 yards with a pair of a touchdowns. Kevin Kane returned an interception for a TD, and Darren Russ returned a blocked punt for a touchdown in the win.

Zac Taylor threw for 105 yards, a touchdown and an interception in the loss, and Cory Ross rushed for 38 yards and a TD on 15 carries for the Cornhuskers.
