Nittany Lions chew up Golden Gophers

The Penn State Nittany Lions blasted the Minnesota Golden Gophers 44-14 on Saturday.

The Lions were a slight underdog at -1.5 despite being at home and powered to an outright victory. The total points scored of 58 was OVER the posted over/under mark of 53.

Penn State RB Tony Hunt carried the ball 21 times for 114 yards and two TDs, while WR Deon Butler snared six receptions for 83 yards. QB Michael Robinson was 13-of-32 for 175 yards and no picks.

Minnesota QB Bryan Cupito finished 16-of-28 for 177 yards with one TD and one interception. WR Ernest Wheelwright caught two balls for 63 yards including a 49-yard TD reception before the half.

Penn State improves their unblemished record to 5-0 this season, while Minnesota, ranked No. 18 in the nation coming into the game, falls to 1-4.
