Stephen Garcia's touchdown pass to Weslye Saunders with 7:08 remaining lifted South Carolina over Kentucky 24-17 on Saturday.

South Carolina won as 2.5-point road underdogs as the teams played over the 37.5-point total set by sportsbooks.

Garcia finished 10-for-14 for 169 yards passing for the Gamecocks, while fellow quarterback Chris Smelley went 9-for-23 for 105 yards with a TD pass and two interceptions for South Carolina.

Mike Hartline was 23-for-43 for 152 yards with two picks for Kentucky, which got a rushing touchdown from Tony Dixon in the loss.
