UFC fighters Donald 'Cowboy' Cerrone and Leon 'Rocky' Edwards face-off during a press conference ahead of UFC Fight Night in Singapore

Cerrone vs Edwards Betting Odds

The UFC heads to Singapore and brings with it a welterweight main event between Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone and Leon “Rocky” Edwards. Though Cerrone is the more established fighter, he enters the bout as a +160 underdog with Edwards coming back at -200.

Cerrone has been inconsistent since moving up to welterweight, going 5-3 at 170 pounds. “Cowboy” is one of the most exciting fighters in all of MMA with nine of his last 10 fights ending via stoppage. There had been concerns that Cerrone was losing to Father Time but with a knockout victory over Yancy Medeiros in his most recent outing, it is clear that the former UFC lightweight champion is still a stiff test for anyone he faces.

While Cerrone has struggled to find his footing at times in the welterweight division, Edwards has been slowly climbing the mountain. “Rocky” is 7-1 in his last eight fights with the one loss coming against the dominant Kamaru Usman. Edwards has slowly developed his game, becoming a fully rounded-out fighter in all aspects of the game. The Jamaican is coming off a record-setting performance, as he claimed the latest stoppage victory in UFC history over Peter Sobotta – winning with just one second left in the fight.

This is the classic fight between a possibly fading veteran and his younger contemporary trying to ascend the ladder. Cerrone is trying to prove he is still a legit contender but has a lot of wear on the tires while Edwards is the younger fighter looking to prove himself in the eyes of many.
