Auburn 50-1 to repeat BCS win

They looked good in beating Oregon in the BCS Championship game Monday but oddsmakers are making Auburn a huge 50/1 longshot to defend that title in 2011.
The Tigers, fresh off a 22-19 victory at the Fiesta Bowl, will likely lose Heisman Trophy winning QB Cam Newton to the draft, but that is just the start of the problems.
"They lose four seniors from their offensive line, which will be harder to replace than even a stud QB like Newton," said Mike Pickett. "Nick Fairley is also gone."
If not Auburn, then who is pegged as the early college football championship favorite? Bovada has opened Oklahoma as 7/2 favorites in BCS futures, followed closely at 15/2 by last year's champion, Alabama.
This year's BCS game loser is 14/1 odds, tops in the Pac 10 and ahead of resurgent Stanford at 25/1. With Andrew Luck allegedly returning to the Cardinal, the opportunity for those odds to change is significant.
Two other SEC school fall in the Top 10 list of early BCS odds, with LSU at 12/1 and Florida at 15/1. Both schools have also won BCS titles in the past five years as the SEC has reeled off five straight wins.
On the longshot list, Kansas State, UCLA and Boston College are the longest odds at 150/1, according to Bovada.
