Boxing Betting Odds: April 2015 Preview

The month of April offers boxing betting fans lots of fights to wager on including an undisputed Heavyweight title match at the end of the month. Most sportsbooks are already offering moneyline action and some have a ton of prop options to choose from.

On April 4 Adonis Stevenson (25-1, 21 KO’s) will defend his WBC and Ring Light Heavyweight titles against former WBC Middleweight champ Sakio Bika (32-6-3, 21 KO’s).

This fight should be a walk for the champ who is currently a 5Dimes -1500 favorite. Longshot action on the smaller Bika, who has gone 0-1-1 in his last two bouts, is currently coming with a +1200 payday.

More affordable boxing odds are available in the 5Dimes prop offerings. We like the -175 price on Stevenson winning inside the distance as well as the -106 price that the fight won’t start Round 10.

On April 18 undefeated WBO and Ring Lightweight champion Terence Crawford (25-0, 17 KO’s) will step up in weight class against Thomas Dulorme (22-1, 14 KO’s) to vie for the vacant WBO Light Welterweight title.

Despite stepping up in weight class, Crawford is currently a heavy -800 favorite to win at Bovada, while upset action on Dulorme will pay +500. Action thus far has dropped the line on Crawford down from its initial -1000 offering, which is fine with our choice to take him in this fight.

On April 25 the undisputed Heavyweight title fight between Wladimir Klitschko (63-3, 53 KO’s) and Bryant Jennings (19-0, 10 KO’s) will headline a stellar card from MSG. Current boxing odds at Bovada have Klitschko handicapped as the -1400 favorite while 5Dimes has the Jennings payday set at +1075.

Betting against a Klitschko is a major boxing betting no-no until further notice, so as always dig deep into the bankroll for some action on one of boxing’s biggest betting studs.
