Dwight Howard trade trims Nets' odds

With a trade for Dwight Howard looming, oddsmakers are taking pre-emptive action on the Brooklyn Nets.
The Nets, who opened as one of the biggest longshots to win the 2013 NBA title at 200/1, are now among the top tier of favorites at 10/1 at the Las Vegas Hotel and Casino SuperBook.
Rumors were heating up that Howard was headed to Brooklyn as the key figure in what could be a three-team or four-team deal, but as of Monday afternoon nothing had been finalized.
The addition of Joe Johnson didn't hurt Brooklyn, and would give the Nets a powerful threesome if they also acquire Howard.
The defending champion Miami Heat, at 2/1, remain the clear-cut favorite, with the Oklahoma City Thunder next at 3/1. The Lakers went from 12/1 to 8/1 after acquiring Steve Nash last week.
The Nets, Bulls, and Spurs are next at 10/1 on those title odds.
