A trio of New York horses lead the early odds to win the 2011 Kentucky Derby with Uncle Mo leading the way.

The Breeders' Cup juvenile winner seems to have his mojo and bettors like what they have seen in the son of 1998 Derby favorite Indian Charlie. Racebook managers are reading carefully, opening him as 4/1 favorites a full five months ahead of the Churchill Downs run.

Todd Pletcher will train the horse, who arrived in Florida two weeks before Christmas to begin workouts in the run-up to the Derby prep schedule.

Two other New York-based youngsters compete the Top 3 early picks.

To Honor and Serve is 12/1 odds at the bodog racebook, while Boys at Tosconova is 16/1. Pluck, at 25/1, is the only other horse within 30/1 odds.

Murjan is the longest shot currently on the board at 65/1, but the racebook has been known to add horses and post odds at the request of bettors.
