Benjamin Eckstein's Holiday Hangouts

LAS VEGAS - F1 FOR ONLY FIVE MILLION!!!

Update on the Formula 1 race coming to Vegas next year in case anyone is looking for a last minute Christmas present. From Sportsbook Palace, you can lock down a FIVE MILLION DOLLAR package. What are you gonna get for FIVE MILL???

You’ll stay in the Nobu Sky Villa, which is a 10,300 square foot, three-bedroom monster, and it’s yours for five days.

It can host up to 75 guests on the terrace with view of the Strip and the F1 race. You’ll get dinner for 12 prepared by the legendary Chef Nobu Matsuhisa. We have eaten at Nobu a handful of times, and can tell you it’s worth every penny. Maybe NOT FIVE MILL!

START YOUR ENGINES!!!

If you’ve never been to Vegas, are with the family, and need some cool ideas, check out these places.

You might not get to drive 150 miles per hour at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, but you can take the family and check out the Glittering Lights. This is a drive-through holiday light experience on 2.5-mile course at the Speedway through January 8. You will not blaze across the track, but there are over five million twinkling lights, 600 animated displays and a live nativity to enjoy. Drive in your own vehicle or purchase a ticket for the Santa Tram and skip the lines. It’ll cost you $39 per head, but the wonderful part is, a portion of your admission fee goes to help fund over 50 children’s charities around Southern Nevada.

WILLY WONKA & THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY!!!

Not the one in the movie, but if you don’t mind driving like 15 minutes from the Strip, check out the Ethel M Chocolate Factory and Holiday Cactus Garden. Wandering through the gardens costs only $1 per person, so come for the chocolate and stay for the barrel cactus, yuccas, and prickly pears covered in lights. They also ask you to bring a toy and non-perishable food to donate. The lights shine from 5:00 to 10:00 pm every night. You can also pre-order hot chocolate, cookies, and cupcakes.

SportsbookS ONLY!!!

Got a full slate of NFL games on Saturday, which means just one thing. ANOTHER three team 10-point teaser, and of course, ANOTHER Sportsbook! Start out with the Bengals and take Cincy from -3 to +7 points against the Patriots. Why? Maybe Cincy will not win, but since the Bengals have covered 11 of the last 12, they’ll have NO problem staying inside a touchdown. Then move to Chicago where we’ll plump up the Bears from +9 to +19 points against the Bills. Obviously, Buffalo is WWAAYY better, but Da Bears have not lost at home this season by more than nine points. Close up shop with the Cowboys/Eagles game and take Dallas from -5 to +5 points. Not shooting any poison arrows at Gardner Minshew, but C’MON, it’s Gardner Minshew. It AIN’T Jalen Hurts. And after missing the first game against Philly with a broken thumb, a 26-17 loss, Dak Prescott is back. And I’m sure you remember what Dak did against the Igles in the final game last season. How about 21 of 27 for 295 yards and FIVE TDs!

From everyone at Casa Eckstein, wishing you all a very, very merry Christmas & happy Hanukkah. We’ll be back with you on January 3rd, so a happy and healthy New Year as well. And if you need the Sportsbooks for the College Football Playoff semifinal games, plz check the Ecks & Bacon window at www.americasline.com!!!
