CFL Betting Odds: Week 17

With just a few weeks left in the CFL regular season all playoff positions have been determined, but teams are still looking for home-field advantage and Week 17 CFL betting action should heat up with a pair of games on Friday.

The 9-6 Edmonton Eskimos will try to keep pace with the Lions in the West when they take on the 4-11 Toronto Argonauts in the Sportsbook CFL betting matchup on Friday. Sportsbook has Edmonton listed as a 3-point favorite, while the total is sitting at 48.

Edmonton has won back-to-back games, including a 24-10 victory over struggling Winnipeg last week as 2-point favorites. The Argonauts upset the Calgary Stampeders 31-29 as 7-point spread underdogs last time out as they look to play spoiler as the season comes to a close.

Also on Friday it’s the Calgary Stampeders (8-7) as 10-point favorites up against the Saskatchewan Roughriders (4-11), who were officially eliminated from the postseason last week. The total is set at 51.5 for this contest.

Calgary has won three straight head-to-head, and covered the spread in all three victories over Saskatchewan. The Roughriders fell 29-18 to B.C. last week, but have not covered the pointspread in four straight losses.

Montreal (10-5) is trying to distance itself as the East leader when they tackle the second-place Winnipeg Blue Bombers (9-6) in CFL betting action on Saturday.

The Alouettes are a slight 1.5-point favorite on the road, while the total is set at 52.5 at Sportsbook.

Despite winning four straight the Alouettes only covered the spread in one of those victories, while the Blue Bombers covered in back-to-back games. And Winnipeg has covered the spread in four straight head-to-head meetings with Montreal.

The final CFL betting matchup in Week 17 pits the roaring Lions (9-6) up against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats (7-8) on Saturday night. The Lions lost earlier in the season to Hamilton, but B.C. is riding an eight-game winning streak as they gear up for the playoffs.

Sportsbook gives the Lions a 1-point advantage on the CFL betting lines, while the total is set at 53.5.
