CFL Week 12 Betting Preview

Week 12 of the Canadian Football League season gets underway at McMahon Stadium in Calgary on Friday night this week and continues on through matchups in each of Edmonton, Saskatchewan, and B.C. Here's a breakdown of all the CFL betting trends for the four games on tap for the week ahead.

Fri Sep 13 - Hamilton at Calgary, 9:00pm ET
Last 10 Meetings: Calgary 8-2 SU, 6-4 ATS | OU 5-5


The Stampeders won both of their games against the Tiger-Cats last season, going 1-1 ATS in those two contests as the teams prepare to meet for the first time this season on Friday night. Overall the Stampeders have managed to pay off on the CFL odds in four of their last six games against the Tiger-Cats, with the OVER/UNDER 4-2 in those matchups.

Sat Sep 14 - Winnipeg at Edmonton, 6:30pm ET
Last 10 Meetings: Edmonton 6-4 SU, 4-6 ATS | OU 4-6


The Eskimos and Blue Bombers split their two meetings last season 1-1 both SU and ATS as the two last-place teams battle for the first time in 2013 on Saturday; both of 2012's games between Edmonton and Winnipeg turned out to be OVER results for totals bettors. Edmonton only has two ATS victories over its eight most recent games against Winnipeg.

Sat Sep 14 - Toronto at Saskatchewan, 9:30pm ET
Last 10 Meetings: Saskatchewan 7-3 SU, 5-4-1 ATS | OU 5-5


The Roughriders beat the Argonauts 39-28 as a 2-point road underdog on the CFL betting lines in the first meeting between the teams this season in July, with the game an OVER result for totals bettors. Overall Saskatchewan has three victories both SU and ATS in its last four games against Toronto dating back to 2011, with the OVER/UNDER going 2-2.

Sun Sep 15 - Montreal at B.C., 4:30pm ET
Last 10 Meetings: B.C. 4-6 SU, 7-3 ATS | OU 6-4


The Alouettes edged the Lions 39-38 as a big 10-point home underdog in the first meeting of 2013 between the teams in August, with the OVER paying out in a Montreal vs. B.C. matchup for the third straight time. The Alouettes and Lions have alternated SU wins over their past six meetings, with B.C. paying off on the CFL odds in four of those contests.
