CFL Week 2 Betting Preview

The West went 4-0 both SU and ATS against the East in the Sportsbook week of the CFL season but only two of those Western teams will get Eastern opponents once again as the league kicks off the second week of its season on Friday - including the Lions, who will be hosting the Tiger-Cats.

Fri July 6 - Winnipeg at Montreal, 7:00pm ET
Last 10 Meetings: Montreal 7-3 SU, 4-6 ATS | OU 5-4-1

The Alouettes got off to an ugly start to the season over the weekend, falling 38-10 on the road against the Stampeders and not coming close to covering the spread as underdogs on the CFL lines at the sportsbooks. The Blue Bombers lost big in Week 1 as well, falling 33-16 on the road in B.C., and they opened as 7-point underdogs on the road in Montreal for Friday's contest.

Fri July 6 - Hamilton at British Columbia, 10:00pm ET
Last 10 Meetings: B.C. 5-5 SU, 3-7 ATS | OU 4-6

The Tiger-Cats were trounced 43-16 at home by the Roughriders in their Sportsbook game of the season last Friday night despite being pegged as a favorite on the CFL lines at the sportsbooks, and they opened as 6-point road underdogs against the Lions for their Week 2 contest. The Lions easily covered the spread against the Bombers in their Week 1 victory.

Sat July 7 - Calgary at Toronto, 3:00pm ET
Last 10 Meetings: Toronto 4-6 SU, 5-5 ATS | OU 4-6

The Argonauts fell 19-15 on the road against the Eskimos in Week 1, keeping the score closer than any of the other Eastern teams in their Sportsbook-week defeats. For their game on Saturday afternoon, however, the Argonauts opened as 5-point home underdogs on the sportsbooks' CFL odds against the Stampeders, with Calgary looking to bounce an Eastern team for the second straight week.

Sun July 08 - Edmonton at Saskatchewan, 7:00pm ET
Last 10 Meetings: Saskatchewan 3-7 SU, 3-7 ATS | OU 5-5

The Eskimos and Roughriders will close out the second week of the Canadian Football League season on Sunday night, with the oddsmakers Sportsbook Saskatchewan as 4.5-point favorites on the CFL odds for the contest. The Riders put up more points than any other team in Week 1, and their game with the Tiger-Cats produced the only OVER result.
